Welcome to Rutgers University through the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, Mason Gross School of the Arts EOF Program! Be sure to read all the information below carefully and follow any steps to complete that are necessary.


 All EOF Admitted First Year Scholars must complete EOF Confirmation with the Office of Financial Aid to receive the EOF grant & program services by June 1.


 Important Dates & Deadlines:

  • Attend the Rutgers SAS EOF Admitted Students Virtual April 24th at 2pm-4pm (NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. HYPERLINK ABOVE  WILL ZOOM YOU IN TO THE EVENT DAY OF.

    • SCHOOL ABSENCE LETTERS PROVIDED AFTER THE EVENT |    PARENTS & GUARDIANS ARE WELCOME

  • Summer Institute 2025 Dates: Monday July 13th-Friday, August 1st

  • Summer Institute Location: Virtual week July 7th -July 11th  and In-Person Residential July 13th-August 1st in Hardenbergh Hall. It is one of 3 river dorms located on the college ave campus.  

  • Please visit our Summer Institute Packet tab located under the Summer Institute tab on our website. There are forms there that all students must complete and additional forms for minors only. All forms are due by June 1. Follow up with your assigned EOF counselor with any questions.

Additional Items to add to your TO DO checklist!:

  • SAS EOF will reach out to you thru multiple platforms: Text, email and by phone. Make sure you keep in touch! Ensure that the email you provided is one you check daily.

  • Take the Placement Test as soon as possible. Note that you will need to download a lockdown browser in order to take the math placement test.  A chrome book will not work!  If you don't have access to a laptop to take your placement test, you may reserve space on campus to do so.  Here is the link to reserve a room and laptop on campus - Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management.  If you have any issues, please email: This email address is being protected from spambots.   • NSO (New Student Orientation) for SAS EOF will be Monday, 6/30 – Tuesday, 7/1 with Fall class registration taking place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. (This is the only date students can attend NSO.  Registration for NSO begins April 1, 2025)
  • Summer Institute Requirement—Get a Laptop with video capabilities, Webex/Zoom account and internet (broadband is important)!
  •  Register  for our 2025 Summer Institute Student Parent Orientation taking place on June 19th in the College Ave Student Center at 10:00am
  • Student Parent Orientation: For those that are attending virtual Please click here and it will take you to the livestream event. Once on that site please click on the check in at the very top of the site so we can mark your attendance!
  • WHAT TO BRING ON MOVE IN DAY:
    • Your Laptop (Must be a PC or Mac, No Chromebooks)
    • Breakfast Items (we provide lunch and dinner but breakfast is on your own)
    • A floor lamp and light bulb (we recommend this lamp )
    • Pillows & bed ensemble (blanket, long twin-size fitted sheet, etc.)
    • Clothes hangers
    • Hamper/detergent
    • Towels
    • Alarm Clock
    • Bathroom Essentials (Bathrobe, shower slippers, soap, toothpaste, etc.)
    • Shower caddy (to carry toiletries to and from bathroom)
    • Fan
    • Sunblock
    • Medications (Make sure to inform health services)
    • Health insurance Card (original or copy in case of emergency)
  • PLEASE NOTE THAT IF  YOU NEED DROP ITEMS OFF DURING THE SUMMER THEY MUST DO SO AT MILLEDOLER HALL WITH OUR ADMINSTRATIVE TEAM IN OUR SAS EOF OFFICE ROOM 19 BETWEEN  MONDAY-FRIDAY DURING THE HOURS OF 9AM-4PM
