Dr. Michelle Shostack is a proud three-time alumna of Rutgers University. She has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College, where she majored in biochemistry and minored in psychology, graduating with honors. She has a master’s degree, and a doctorate, from the Graduate School of Education in counseling psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral psychology internship at the Counseling and Student Development Center at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Shostack has worked in the field of higher education for over thirty years and is a passionate advocate for the EOF Program, staff, and students. She started her EOF career as a residence counselor with the EOF Program at Douglass College, and was the director of the Douglass College EOF Program at the time that the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) EOF Program was formed in 2007. Prior to becoming the Director of the SAS EOF Program in August 2013, Dr. Shostack served as its Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs. She became the Associate Dean and Director in January 2023. The SAS EOF Program is the largest in New Jersey, serving over 1200 students, who qualify on the basis of financial need and the potential for academic success. Dr. Shostack leads a team of 22 full-time staff members, and a large team of Summer Institute instructors and residence life staff. She develops and oversees multiple budgets of over 6 million dollars. In addition to her EOF responsibilities, she is a campus advisor for the Office of Student Conduct, a member of the DICE Educational Equity Council, and an LGBTQ+ Liaison and Ally. Dr. Shostack is a member of the Access-Med Program admissions committee, and the Biomedical Careers Program admissions committee. She has served on several dissertation committees, and has presented at the Excellence in Student Affairs Conference, the New Jersey EOF Professional Association Conference, and the Tri-State Consortium for Opportunity Programs Conference.

Ms. Brooks has worked with the Rutgers University EOF program for over four decades. After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Biology from Oberlin College and earning her Masters in Higher Education Administration, she worked as a reading consultant in NYC and then as a psychological counselor at Emerson College in Boston. After moving to New Jersey, Dean Brooks began as an EOF counselor at University College, then the Rutgers University liberal arts college dedicated to transfer and nontraditional students. She transitioned to Assistant Director and then University College EOF Director within three years of arriving at Rutgers. Her passion for students and the EOF spirit was bolstered by working within University College before it merged with the other liberal arts colleges in New Brunswick in 2007 to become part of the School of Arts and Sciences. Dean Brooks has been associated with the Mountainview Community program (MVC), which addresses the transition of former offenders into and through Rutgers since its inception in 2004.

Mrs. Nancy Capasso-Lee holds a B.A. in French and a M.A. in Counseling from Rider University. Her interest in working with the college population began when she worked as a Residence Hall Director. She has served 16 years in student affairs working in various departments including Residence Life, Enrollment Services and the Educational Opportunity Program. She has also served as an advisor for various Greek and Non-Greek organizations. She is a proud EOF Alumni whose goal is to help all EOF students become passionate about achieving personal success and giving back to the communities that served them.

Ms. Jubilee is a two-time graduate from the Rutgers Business School and the Graduate School of Education. Prior to Rutgers, Ms. Jubilee worked as a Branch Manager and as the Manager of Corporate Services at INROADS/Central New Jersey Inc. She transitioned from the corporate sector and began her Rutgers career at University College until it merged in 2007 to become part of the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS). She has served the transfer and non-traditional EOF population for 20 years and continues to advise EOF transfers and most recently, Mason Gross students.
Ms. Jubilee provides direct supervision over the EOF Senior Counselors on the College Ave campus and together they serve first generation students from low-income, disadvantaged backgrounds. She has extensive experience providing advising and counseling services on all academic and student affairs for traditional, non-traditional, transfer, & part-time college students, high school seniors, and other special populations. She cultivates an environment that brings awareness of the needs of this population; advocates, ensuring equality and equity in access to university resources that will help them persist to and through graduation; and exposes them to rewarding opportunities and discoveries that can lead them to economic stability. Ms. Jubilee also directs and oversees the EOF First Year Experience (FYE) and RU-1st Seminar courses geared to help first generation, low-income students make a successful transition from high school to college. She takes a holistic approach to providing advising and counseling services that promote inclusion, retention, graduation, and post-graduation success.
Ms. Jubilee has a solid foundation in supervision, student development, advising, counseling, and training and development. She participates in the First-year Retention Program, Academic Standing advising, and Academic Planning and Advising (APA) days. She has demonstrated experience in program/project management, namely, regional training conference for over 600 seniors, corporate round-tables, corporate mentoring programs, INROADS Talent Pool for 250+ students, the EOF Summer Institute, and coordinated awards banquet for 600+ students, staff, and corporate guests.
She is a coadjutant professor for the Career Explorations and Academic Success Seminar courses and has co-presented at the New Jersey EOF Professional Association Conference and the Tri-State Consortium of Opportunity Programs Conference. She is a proud Rutgers’ Alumna and has a passion and talent for fashion, design, and interior decorating.

Mrs. Berkeley earned a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. While working at Rutgers, she has been an advisor to students pursuing science majors, a resident counselor for Douglass College, an Upward Bound counselor, a study skills instructor, an academic program coordinator, a First Year Retention and Dismissal Advisor, a transfer seminar instructor, and now a primary advisor for the First Year EOF RBS students. As the manager of the Livingston Campus site, she continues to support counselors in providing holistic advising that leads to student success. Among her SAS EOF program responsibilities are to cultivate collaboration with various campus departments including the Rutgers Business School, Career Exploration and Success, Counseling, Alcohol and Other Drug Assistance Program & Psychiatric Services (CAPS), Dean of Students, Disability Services, Learning Centers and Residence Life as the program’s contact liaison. She is passionate in providing students resources and support in the area of maintaining and strengthening mental health and career development.
