School of Arts & Sciences
Educational Opportunity Fund Program
2008 SAS EOF Summer Institute

All incoming first-year students who are admitted to the School of Arts and Sciences EOF Program are required to attend the Summer Institute. The 2008 SAS EOF Summer Institute is a 5-week residential program. It takes place from Sunday, June 29th through Friday, August 1st. The Summer Institute is designed to help students make the academic, social, and emotional transition from high school to college. Students will live on-campus (in the Mettler and Tinsley Residence Halls on the College Avenue Campus), earn degree credits (or move on to the next level of developmental courses), strengthen their academic skills, and become prepared for life as a successful college student. All students will take a math and writing course, based on Rutgers University placement test results, and students interested in pursuing the sciences will be able to take Foundations of Biological Sciences. Since summer course enrollment is based on placement test results, you are encouraged to take your placement tests as soon as possible. Here is the link for placement test information: http://oirap.rutgers.edu/testplace.html.
